The Mother of All Updates  Thursday, November 19, 2009

This shall be a mother of all updates compensate for all the radio silence. Life really sucks to be super busy. Hence SUPER SAM. I feel like God made me to do 100 things at a time. Looking forward to a lot of things, funnily the High Key Reservist too, wouldn't hurt to spend some time at the firing range and shoot some bullets eh?

I will be away on the following periods doing all sorts of nonsense

7th December 2009 to 18th December 2009: High Key Reservist
18th December to 21st December 2009: YHHB CAMP
26th December to 28th December: Langkawi Trip

For YHHB matters, please look for Li Hui or Lin Sing to get your instructions. For all other matters. Anything else you can probably try SMSing me i'll get back to you when i have access to the phone.

I know it has really been a seriously long period of time away from updates. Nothing "funtastic" with my life really. All pun intended. Forgive me while i attempt to write some stuff to fill up the empty void between the silent days.

I probably should start from October as there was 2 notable achievements which i really wanted it badly.

2nd October 2009 - Class 4 Driving License

Over 6 months of testing and practice, with 4 driving test with the traffic police, I have finally surmounted the seemingly impossible test and reached the "pinnacle" of my driving life. I have now added on a Class 4 to my arsenal of driving skills allowing me to drive a larger motorcar and now looking to subdue other "monsters" of different nature.

I must admit really, i was contemplating to give up after the 3rd test, as it was really bad. It almost seems like a lucky draw attempt for each test. Depends on your tester. I was lucky, or perhaps i was given a break as i finished with the last test pretty quickly, but mostly i reckon that i was pretty good after all in my test and i could answer all of his question, hence the tester allowed me to pass. No kick at all. ^^v

24 October 2009 - Nike + Human Race

I was starting to train before October for longer distance running for keeping fit and losing weight. I was almost disappointed not being able to participate in the Nike + Human Race as the limited spaces was out when i joined in the queue. Fortunately, if you purchase their Nike + Running Watch you'll get to enter the race complimentary, complete with all the goodies bag which everybody else has to pay (SGD$35.00) to gain entry to the race event.

[Insert BIP tag]

The race route is from the F1 racing pit stop track all around the Kallang area and back to the racing pit stop, a whopping 10 KM race route. The run was excruciating, but nothing impossible, run and jog only. The only thing i found irritating was i was all warmed up and ready to run for the longest time already but the organizers for some reasons like to hold back and i lost all the advantages of warming up already and it was painful. I seriously hurt my right ankles once the race is over and went over to Yuhua shortly hobbling around.

At least i went home with a race medal.

This is something which i never tried before. It just one of these things that i do on a whim. Never thought i would put myself into such a race myself so i consider this a very big achievement considering that i have never attempted a 10km run even in my army days. What's more, i'm doing it alone. I'm intending to take part more of such races next year so look out! Anybody else who wish to run together just contact me!

Post Race Note: Lately, the weather is so bad i can't even do a good 5KM run. I hope to make a run soon. Well looks like i'll be able to run a bit in camp, maybe OTOT can run around for 5K maybe?

8 November 2009 - Mahjong @ Sam's Office

I'll do a quick short one here. It's just plain hilarious funny to play MJ at my office on this Sunday. I was on a losing streak because of stupid Larry who ekes out a living out of cheating good money from his friends instead of plying his magic trades elsewhere he chose to display his feat of magic on the MJ tables and con $24.00 out of me from a low bet game of $1.00 - $2.00 /5 amazing.

Getting so demoralized that i just had to don my battle gear to concentrate on the game. My battle gear consist of my SBO, my helmet and my trust engineer gloves. It brought me some luck. Hilarious. Here some pictures to laugh at:

[Insert MJ pictures]

Post Event Notes: On hindsight, i should have prepared more food to the office before the Mahjong Session next time. Being low on carb and energy, affects the mental prowess. I should wear my army uniform for additional affect next time, the camoflauge might help distract my opponents and maybe they won't be able to identify the bamboos or the "fa cai" since i'm green too.

13 November 2009 - Graduation Night

No. It's not my graduation night. I still have many more years before i graduate from UOL. IF I GRADUATE. Its quite tough taking on so many things at the same time and trying to manage my studies. Multi-tasking may not be so ideal after all?

Anyway, i sidetracked. It is not my graduation, rather, the bunch of secondary 4 students graduating on the very same week they end their O levels. Why the hell i was there? I was there to support the event as well as the students. Thanks to Junfeng for the friendly reminder, i was so swamped with work that i forgotten about the event. Unfortunately due to the steep price, most of them are not connected emotionally enough to find it worthwhile to participate in the event.

My date for the night was She Hui. I had to borrow her from Lin Sing just for one night as I was unable to find anyone last minute to join me. Thanks to She Hui, i didn't have to go alone and sit alone in a table full of teachers.

The event was organized by the Alumni which i thought was very well planned and organized by Punch! the event company. My dear old friend Ann was in charge of the program of the night, which i was pleasantly surprised to see her after so long. Kudos to the planning committee and Jun Feng for putting up a good event hope have more opportunities to see my juniors graduate happily.

Manage to see some of them that night and take a few more pictures here and there, unfortunately as most of them were so high having to dance and sing, didn't really want to spoil their fun so i went off with Mdm Peng and She Hui pretty soon. But i do have some pictures to share though.

Here are some of the pictures taken that night:

Above: Look at all these happy faces, i guess they can't get enough of fun out of school

Post Event Notes: Every time the word graduation pops in, there will always be 2 songs which i will like to dedicate to anybody who has graduated. Graduation Song by Mel C and Time of Your Life by Green Day. Song's for the graduating students. Meaningful Lyrics to end a beautiful night. And of course, right now, Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night!

21 November 2009 - REACH Carnival

I must have been repeating the same intro over and over again. Let me just rephrase the whole thing. Basically its a fun fair of sorts aimed to raise money for the needy and improvished students. Tickets were on sale for $10.00 a piece and entitles you to a chance at a draw.

That's a bunch of people who took some happy pills winning from lucky draws. Some lucky dogs they are haha.

Credits to Sylvia who has nothing better to do and find this nice report. Is it true or not? I believe there are traces of truth in it.

---

This personality profile is based on the writing of Samuel Koh created at the website: Handwriting Wizard.com - Handwriting University's Official automated personality report creator based on standardized basic personality traits as taught through Handwriting University's Certification Level Program.

Samuel is moderately outgoing. His emotions are stirred by sympathy and heart rendering stories. In fact, he can be kind, friendly, affectionate and considerate of others. He has the ability to put himself into the other person's shoes.

Samuel will be somewhat moody, with highs and lows. Sometimes he will be happy, the next day he might be sad. He has the unique ability to get along equally well with what psychology calls introverts and extroverts. This is because he is in between. Psychology calls Samuel an ambivert. He understands the needs of both types. Although they get along, he will not tolerate anyone that is too "far out." He doesn't sway too far one way or the other.

When convincing him to buy a product or an idea, a heart rendering story could mean a great deal to him. He puts himself in the same situation as the person in the story, yet he will not buy anything that seems overly impractical or illogical. Samuel is an expressive person. He outwardly shows his emotions. He may even show traces of tears when hearing a sad story.

Samuel is a "middle-of-the-roader," politically as well as logically. He weighs both sides of an issue, sits on the fence, and then will decide when he finally has to. He basically doesn't relate to any far out ideas and usually won't go to the extreme on any issue.

People that write their letters in an average height and average size are moderate in their ability to interact socially. According to the data input, Samuel doesn't write too large or too small, indicating a balanced ability to be social and interact with others.

Samuel is sensitive to criticism about his ideas and philosophies. He will sometimes worry what people will think if he tells them what he believes in. This doesn't mean he won't talk, or that he feels ashamed. It merely means he is sensitive to what others think, regarding his beliefs.

Samuel is secretive. He has secrets which he does not wish to share with others. He intentionally conceals things about himself. He has a private side that he intends to keep that way, especially concerning certain events in his past.

In reference to Samuel's mental abilities, he has a very investigating and creating mind. He investigates projects rapidly because he is curious about many things. He gets involved in many projects that seem good at the beginning, but he soon must slow down and look at all the angles. He probably gets too many things going at once. When Samuel slows down, then he becomes more creative than before. Since it takes time to be creative, he must slow down to do it. He then decides what projects he has time to finish. Thus he finishes at a slower pace than when he started the project.

He has the best of two kinds of minds. One is the quick investigating mind. The other is the creative mind. His mind thinks quick and rapidly in the investigative mode. He can learn quicker, investigate more, and think faster. Samuel can then switch into his low gear. When he is in the slower mode, he can be creative, remember longer and stack facts in a logical manner. He is more logical this way and can climb mental mountains with a much better grip.

Samuel is a practical person whose goals are planned, practical, and down to earth. This is typical of people with normal healthy self-esteem. He needs to visualize the end of a project before he starts. he finds joy in anticipation and planning. Notice that I said he plans everything he is going to do, that doesn't necessarily mean things go as planned. Samuel basically feels good about himself. He has a positive self-esteem which contributes to his success. He feels he has the ability to achieve anything he sets his mind to. However, he sets his goals using practicality-- not too "out of reach". He has enough self-confidence to leave a bad situation, yet, he will not take great risks, as they relate to his goals. A good esteem is one key to a happy life. Although there is room for improvement in the confidence catagery, his self-perception is better than average.

Something is incomplete in Samuel's life. He feels frustration relating to his physical needs and desires. Somewhere in his life there is some disappointment, non-fulfillment, and interruption. This is very likely to relate to Samuel's sexual needs.

Samuel exaggerates about everything that has a physical nature. Although he may not intend to deceive or mislead, he blows things way out of proportion because that is the way he views them. He will be a good story teller. This exaggeration relates to all areas of his material world. Samuel allows many people into his life because he is accepting and trusting. He is sometimes called gullible by his friends. That only really means that he trusts too many people. Samuel has a vivid imagination.

Samuel has a very unusual lower zone y loop. If the data input is correct, Samuel's y or g is large and has triangle shape to the lower loop. This is not a common trait, but the implications are very interesting. As you begin to study handwriting analysis, you will learn any loop indicates imagination. This lower loop indicates the amount of imagination Samuel has regarding sex and physical things. His lower zone stroke is large, so his sexual imagination is large and open. Furthermore, because the loop has a triangle shape, this indicates a particular curiosity with certain aspects of sexuality. In a nutshell, Samuel is open to some very new ideas sexually and is willing to try anything once. I'd say Samuel is quite a dynamic and playful lover. Watch out world!

Hiatus  Tuesday, September 29, 2009

It has been rather long since i wrote anything of decent length haven't I? My life is a little better but still a little lost overall. I've lost many things so fast recently, so much that I am simply out of character and perhaps the better description would be that I'm undergoing more molding.

I apologize if I made anyone worried, or offended anyone these few months. It has been a very testing period and there was in place a short fuse in me. Things haven’t really worked out for me in a lot of ways that sometimes I question myself. I question my purpose in life, I question what I want. I question. Too much.

My bucket was emptied from difference sources, friends, family, work, things that mattered to me, and I crumble under the sheer weight in all. I lose sleep and it takes a toll on me. I lose all 6 senses and shortly my cool and marbles.

I started running again, simply to sharpen and focus my thoughts, at the same time to lose some weight and improve on my health and fitness. I also started to slow down my pace in the things i do, work/harmonica and focus on myself.

I realize that being an idealist living in a realistic world, I'm slowly realizing the full force of the materialistic/realist world. It's not good enough to be a good person, that you have to look the part too no matter how good you are inside.

Sad isn't it? That life no matter what they say about not judging a book by the cover, yet, in real life, the cover is everything. I'm looking at it everyday.

Alas, its another story for another day. Not that it matters to anyone.

Broken  Wednesday, September 23, 2009

Sometimes when things are broken, they are broken. Even if you mend them, they're still broken.

What will go wrong, will go wrong.  Friday, September 18, 2009

Just as you think things shouldn't go wrong, life just has to go ahead and prove you wrong.

Things hasn't been too well lately with very little improvement. Only can sit back and let things settle down its own.
